hi all

i've had hydrocephalus since 6 weeks of age and had the mis-fortune of
having to be fitted with TWO shunts

i'm now 43, but haven't had a check-up since i was 12, i'm not even
registered with a neurological unit

should i be concerned ? should my doctor have raised this with me or do you
think i should point this out to him ?

you advice/suggestions would be very much appreciated

If I were you I wouldn't worry about it until there is a reason i.e you start
to have symptoms of infection\blockage which your gp should be able to
identify. I had my last revision 25 years ago and havent seen a neurosurgeon
since!
