Hello there Danno,I'm a 38 year old male with SB occulta and also
suffer from sexual disfunction. My condition is more Psychosexual than
physical, having never come to terms with having a sexual relationship
with SB.I have a great social life but really suffer from anxiety when
there is anything sexual on the horizon. This has just become a downward
spiral for me,and although I enjoy greatly being in a relationship, more
and more I reinforce my anxieties, telling myself that it's just not
possible.I know that it's all in my head.I'm not sure if my problem is
related directly to SB at all,but only has it's beginnings in my
earliest sexual encounters and my anxieties with, and inability to deal
with my SB at that time.It seems that you don't suffer from these kind
of symptoms, though I would be grateful if you could share with me any
information of your experiences. Thanks Aidan

That's exactly where I was 7 years ago. Then I "met" some-one on a
newsgroup (not this one), we exchanged emails, and, over the space of
3 months, talked quite frankly about everything (including sex). It's
surprising how much easier it is to talk by email, especially when
you've never met (or spoken to) the other person.

Eventually we did meet, and 5 months later we got married (and still
are). So yes, thinking it won't work out so there's no point trying
isn't a unique position to be in, but it isn't necessarily the way it
will be forever.

Hope that helps!

Even though you might be slightly embarassed I would suggest that you talk
to your GP. He or She will either be able to refer you to a urologist where
you can discuss your concerns or even discribe you medication like viagra.

If you dont want to do this then log on to the spina bifida website at
http://www.asbah.org/ which has some useful advice. Alternatively go to
this site http://www.wellcoolstuff.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?
Screen=CTGY&Category_Code=EA

It has things like pumps that you can use. I would really urge you to talk
to your gp though.
