Hi everyone. I am Heather 35 years old with spina bifida. I join the
group to meet people. It's hard to figure what to say sometimes. But if
anyone needs to talk or just someone to listen, e-mail me

I think you have a point Heather.. it is hard to figure out what to say, but
mostly when I go on newsgroups its not to talk about my personal health
problems.. I just have fun.. I encourage anyone else to do the same
although, seeing as it is a spina bifida newsgroup, theres no harm in asking
questions to each other about anything and everything to do with SB.

I mostly read here. I think I'm genuine. I'm female, without spina bifida
(I do have hydrocephalus, I have had "related soft-tissue cysts. I asked my
doctor whether I had spina bifida occult [apparently a milder form? which
someone had brought up somewhere on the net]; the answer to that one
apparently is no.)

Kind of strange to hear from someone that has hydrocephalus but doesn't have
spina bifida - I always thought that the two were together sometimes
(although I have only got spina bifida, a more severe form)

However, it is nice to know that genuine people still post here :)

Hello James, Heather, Amy, and anyone else i have not mentioned, its
been quite awhile since i have been out here, so i apologize for that,
i have going back and forth once again to alotta different dr.s to see
if someone can and will help me with my dilemma,I have a dicubitus
ulcer, that does not seem to want to heal therefore, no one will do the
flap surgery to repair, and i still have the bladder problem i
mentioned in an earlier posting, i am scheduled to go to
charlottesville va., to see a urology specialist, and they have spoke
of rebuilding my bladder among other suggestions,i am not sure what
will become of things, guess i will just have to wait and see, so wish
me luck!, and again if anyone wishes to correspond with me through
email, please feel free to do so at ***@yahoo.com, i also
wanted to mention, if anyone is interested, i was told about a website
that features models, with disabilities, guys and girls, so check it
out, you may find it interesting, the website is
http://www.enablingelegance.com/welcome.html
hope all of you are doing good, and hope to hear from many of you soon,
take care,
Sherry
