Hello there,
I do not know how long a shunt will last,
but my daughter has one for 15 years now without problems, and hopefully
this will stay so.
We also met other SB children who have already their 2nd, 3th or 4th shunt,
because the old one was failing, why I do not know.
Better ask a specialist (neuro-chirurg).
