I use a quickie xtr and frog legs on the front wheels and with a jay extreme
cushion with a J2 backrest. I had pressure sores but the jell cushion seems
to have helped a lot. As most SB people one butt cheek is bigger than the
other which makes us more prone to sore .. one cheek taking all the
pressure.
Anyone know if Jay makes cushion thicker than 3 inches??

There is NOW the J2 Cushion -- I had my seat customized -- as you say one cheek
is a bit larger. Jay people sent me to a doctor some place else. I forget what
kind of doctor. He figured out what I needed and then he made a cast of my but.
I went home and around a month or so I received the cushion thru UPS. 2 years
after the fact the jelly stuff broke. White stuff! Ordered another one -- they
had my cast on file and was not an issue. Very cool. They were able to replace
with the exact same mold. Very, very cool! Roho also will customize your
cushions - I have a power chair as well. I use a customized Roho for that --
gives you a nicer ride.

Also your missing one thing --brakes, good ones!

Check these out -- I have a pair and they work great!

I once owned a Jay Cushion but on a trip up to Cape Code for the weekend, my
Jay Cushion decided to leak, and because I was in a friends truck, which was
new, I had to ditch it on the side of the road somewhere in Rhode Island..
LOL, I never found the Jay Cushion really great, its when I switched over
to a ROHO, with its little egg pillows that its worked, extremely well...
its been great, I've had all profiles of the ROHO, from Low to High and all
were great, i didn't have to worry about pressure on my butt anywhere... my
recently purchase from Medicaid was a New wheelchair, with Power Wheels, for
asistance up hills, the only bad thing about the wheels are that they are 60
pounds, to lift, not very light when going somewhere, and they have to
batteries in the center of the wheelchair wheel where they click on to the
Wheelchair. The only thing back about the Power Assisted "E-Motion wheels
that cost about $8000 for each WHEEL, the chair was $13,000 total, its a
manual wheelchair that has the Power Assisted Wheels, that the battery
didn't last the entire day for me, because where I live has a lot of hills,
I ran out before I was home, and it was EXTREMELY HARD TO PUSH the wheels
once they were dead up the hills, you basically need a backup set of wheels,
which medicaid wouldn't pay for. :*(
